Beethoven’s Eighth and Copland’s Clarinet
March 8, 2018 @ 7:30 pm
Symphony Nova Scotia’s own virtuoso clarinetist Dominic Desautels is a local celebrity, with his brilliant, enthusiastic playing and extraordinary technical prowess. Now, hear Dominic in his element with Symphony Nova Scotia’s first-ever performance of Copland’s Clarinet Concerto – a rhythmic, jazz-inspired gem originally written for legendary swing musician Benny Goodman. Plus, Symphony Nova Scotia performs a brand-new work from Canadian composer Kelly-Marie Murphy, alongside Beethoven’s witty and playful Eighth Symphony.
